We had 33 of the 53 members that signed up for this week actually play in what was a rainy and wet SMGC tournament. With those valuable Crystal Cup points up for grab can you really blame them.
Just so everyone is in the know, the SMGC rules state that as long as more than 50% of the signed up players complete the round it is an official round.
Bill Henigsman is currently in first place but only by 11 points over Neal Haworth who resides in second. Tony DePerio is in 3rd only 16 points off the lead and Gary Zbilski remains in fourth place 48 points behind Bill. With 4 more events remaining in the season make sure to get into the field for next week’s Individual Low Net event.
Starting on Monday, October 12th and finishing on Tuesday, October 13th we will be conducting our annual Club Championship! In order to qualify for the Club Championship you must have played in 15 rounds prior to Monday, October 12th, however, if you do not qualify to win either the Low Gross or Low Net Championship you can still participate in one or both of these rounds.
Lastly, we currently have 64 players who have currently qualified plus two more who have 14 rounds currently. If you want to know where you stand just take a look at the attached Crystal Cup standings and scroll all the way to the right side of the spreadsheet where you can check on how many rounds you have played in this season.
Looking forward to a great October of golf and the exciting finish to our season!
Sincerely,
Stuart Austin
