Good afternoon,
It was an absolutely gorgeous day for golf as the Siena Men’s Golf Club teed it up for week 19 of the 2025-2026 season.
We had multiple events taking place today, including the finals of the Winter/Spring Match Play event, an optional skins game, and the continuation of the “Race for the Crystal Cup.” Congratulations go out to our two winners: Steve Ohlrich for winning the White Tee Match Play division over David Hight, and John Kennedy for his victory over Willie Mensch in the Green Tee final. Dave Curley has sent out the winners of the Gross/Net skins game in a separate email.
As for the “Race for the Crystal Cup,” Bill Henigsman increased his lead over Don Anderson, who remains in second place. Frank Cremen still holds on to third, while David Hight remains solid in fourth. The goal is to find yourself in the top 25 at the end of the season to win a share of the $3,000 pot. Please note that next week we are playing on Monday, March 23rd at Siena, as the course will be closed from Tuesday through Thursday for green aeration. Sign-ups are open now on Golf Genius, so please make sure to get into the field now!
One final reminder: you must play a minimum of 15 rounds to qualify for the Club Championship and the year-end “Big Money” scramble. While a handful of players have already accomplished this, if you are curious about your status, simply scroll to the far right of the attached Crystal Cup standings to see how many rounds you have played to date.
