Following Week 18 of the 2025 – 2026 SMGC season, Bill Henigsman holds a narrow 2-point lead over Don Anderson. Frank Cremen currently sits in 3rd place, with David Hight in 4th. There was significant movement throughout the rankings this week; please see the attached document for the complete standings.
As a reminder, the goal is to finish in the top 25 by the end of the season to secure a share of the $3,000 Crystal Cup pot.
Next week, March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day), we will have a shotgun start. Following golf, we will host a St. Patrick’s Day-themed luncheon in the Bistro. Please make sure to sign up now. This is a shared-cost event; the cost per player is $15, and the club will cover the remaining balance. We will also host an optional skins game with a $10 entry fee.
Finally, today marked the semi-final round of Match Play. In the Green tee bracket, Willie Mensch defeated Jude Dunfee 1UP, and John Kennedy defeated Eddie Canonico 4 & 2. In the White tee competition, David Hight won his match against Steven Su 9 & 7, while Steve Ohlrich defeated Bill Henigsman 2 & 1.
The finals will be:
- Green Tees: Kennedy vs. Mensch
- White Tees: Ohlrich vs. Hight
